BSU hosts Conference titled "Ecology and Soil Science in the 21st Century"
Baku State University (BSU) recently hosted the Republican Scientific Conference titled "Ecology and Soil Science in the 21st Century", which was organized by the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science.
The Conference commenced with an opening address by Akif Agbabaly, the Dean of the Faculty. The plenary session of the conference witnessed the participation of esteemed scientists, including academician Garib Mammadov, the Head of the Department of Soil Science and Real Estate Cadastre, professor Sevinj Hajiyeva, the Head of the Department of Ecological Chemistry, Shevgisefa Goychaysky, a Professor from the Department of Geographical Ecology, Ismail Aliyev, the Head of the Department of Life Safety, and Tahir Ibrahimov, an Associate Professor from the Department of Geographical Ecology.
Following the plenary session, the conference proceeded with breakout sessions, during which the environmental challenges of the territories liberated from occupation and strategies for restoring the natural environment were discussed. Reports were presented by scientists from various institutions, including BSU, the Institute of Microbiology, the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, the Institute of Geography named after academician Hasan Aliyev, the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, the Institute of Ecology of the National Aerospace Agency, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Mingachevir State University, and other organizations.
