BSU Hosts Delegation from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Bulgaria
Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), welcomed a delegation from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Bulgaria during the international conference Advanced Materials for Biomedical and Environmental Challenges. The conference was jointly organized by BSU and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
The delegation included representatives from leading institutions such as Aegean University, Yildiz Technical University, Sivas State University, Koç University, and Yaşar University (Türkiye), the Stefan Angeloff Institute of Microbiology (Bulgaria), and Almaty Technological University (Kazakhstan).
During the meeting, Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships, stating, "Expanding ties with global scientific and educational organizations, prestigious universities, and research institutions remains a top priority for BSU". He highlighted the university’s successful collaboration with ISESCO, including the establishment of Azerbaijan’s first ISESCO Department of Biomedical Materials at BSU.
Discussions focused on key areas of collaboration, including joint research initiatives, the development of grant projects, faculty exchange programs, and the creation of double degree programs. The meeting underscored BSU’s commitment to fostering international integration in science, education, and culture.
