A delegation from the University of Journalism and Mass Communication of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Baku State University (BSU) and held a meeting with the university’s leadership.

The meeting was attended by BSU Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, Student Affairs and Public Relations Alish Aghamirzayev, Head of the International Relations Department Rauf Hasanov, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Vugar Aliyev, as well as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Journalism and Mass Communication of Uzbekistan Ravshan Rayimzhanov and Registration Office Manager Akhror Ahmadov.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector Alish Aghamirzayev briefed the guests on the history, educational system, and scientific and research activities of BSU. He emphasized that the university is actively expanding cooperation with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and successfully implementing student and academic staff exchange programs.

The sides discussed prospects for further strengthening cooperation, including the establishment of dual degree programs in “Radio and Television Journalism” and “Public Relations” at the master’s level within the Faculty of Journalism.

At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the Heydar Aliyev Museum, the Museum of Genetics and Evolution, and the Museum of Minerals at BSU.
