BSU Hosts EcoDay-2025 Competition in Celebration of World Environment Day
Baku State University (BSU) recently hosted the EcoDay-2025 competition, organized as an exhibition to commemorate World Environment Day.
The event was attended by notable university figures, including Afat Mamedova, Dean of the Faculty of Biology; Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Issues and Youth Policy; Vusal Mamedov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics; along with department heads, faculty members, and students.
The exhibition showcased more than 20 handcrafted projects focused on environmental themes.
Following a secret vote by the jury and event participants, Zeyneb Abdullayeva, a student of the Faculty of Biology, won first place for her project titled "Pacific Ocean, Quiet Storm." Kenan Huseynzade secured second place for the work "Reviving Battery." The third place was awarded to a team of physics students — Ayshenur Mayilzade, Gunesh Ibrahimli, Huseyn Mammadzade, and Sema Huseynova — for their project "Spectrometer."
