BSU hosts event "Heydar Aliyev in Photographs"

The event "Heydar Aliyev in Photographs" took place at Baku State University (BSU), organized jointly by the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Faculty of Physics. It was dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Sadiq Gurbanov, the Chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) on Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecology, made an opening speech. He emphasized that the national leader Heydar Aliyev is an outstanding figure who played an important role in the history of Azerbaijan, and his life and work serve as an example for the youth. He stated that under the leadership of the worthy successor of the national leader, President Ilham Aliyev, our country has become a state whose opinion is respected in the world.

Milli Majlis deputy Iltizam Yusifov stressed that Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for all our current achievements and successes.

Misir Mardanov, the Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, and head of the Department of Higher Mathematics at BSU, shared his memories of the years working under the leadership of the national leader. He noted that both in the Soviet period and in the years of independence, the great leader was a patron of science and education.

Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Muhammad Maherramov and Etibar Akhmedov, also spoke at the event.
