Baku State University has hosted the event titled 'Higher Education System of Azerbaijan and Innovations in the 21st Century'. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education, State Agency for Science and Higher Education and BSU.

Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that the globalizing world requires new approaches to the application of innovations in the higher education system. To ensure the social, political, economic, and military security of each country, there is a significant need for national talent.

The Chairperson of the Board of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Ulker Sattarova, emphasized the importance of the event and underscored the impossibility of higher education without science.

At the event, Dr. of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, State Award laureate, and professor at Bilkent University in Türkiye, Amirullah Mamedov, delivered a presentation on the topic 'Higher Education System of Azerbaijan and Innovations in the 21st Century.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the Milli Majlis Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Irada Huseynova, Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes Vagif Abbasov, Chief of Staff of the Higher Attestation Commission under the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulara Tagizade, Rector of Sumgayit State University Rufat Azizov, Vice-Rector of the Azerbaijan State Economic University Neman Muradly, Director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives Vagif Farzaliev, Rector of the Academy of the State Customs Committee Gulu Novruzov.
