Baku State University (BSU) hosted a meeting with mountaineer, coach, and teacher Vafa Musayeva, who successfully summited Mount Everest (8,848 meters) on May 15.

Rector Elchin Babayev congratulated Musayeva, calling her an inspiring example of perseverance and determination. He noted that her story would leave a lasting impact on students.

Sharing her journey, Musayeva described years of preparation leading up to the climb, emphasizing the importance of self-belief and inner motivation. "Even when I was alone on the mountain, I never felt alone in spirit," she said. “Seeing the Azerbaijani flag above the clouds brought me to tears.”

The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students engaged with the mountaineer about her extraordinary experience.
