BSU Hosts First “YENİ Klub” Meeting on Heydar Aliyev’s Political Legacy

The first meeting of the “YENİ Klub” project titled “The Political Legacy and Statehood Vision of Heydar Aliyev” was held at Baku State University (BSU).

Head of the Department for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy, Ramin Samadov, highlighted the club’s activities and its role in supporting youth development.

The event’s first guest, Member of Parliament Vugar Rahimzade, spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s role in shaping media policy and national ideology. He emphasized the major reforms that supported the development of free media in Azerbaijan, including the abolition of state censorship and the strengthening of freedom of speech as a constitutional principle. He also noted the continued development of this policy under Ilham Aliyev.

The meeting continued in an interactive format, with students asking questions on media, politics, and journalism.
