BSU Hosts Forum Dedicated to Azerbaijani Youth Day
Baku State University (BSU), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, hosted a forum titled “The Foundation of a Strong State – Azerbaijani Youth” dedicated to February 2 – Azerbaijani Youth Day.
The event featured an exhibition of internship and volunteer programs and began with the National Anthem and a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs. Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the importance of youth policy initiated by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued under President Ilham Aliyev. He emphasized the role of young people in education, science, sports, and the post-war reconstruction process. The rector also noted BSU’s leading role in developing the intellectual and civic potential of youth and praised the active participation of BSU students in volunteer and social initiatives.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov stressed that youth development has been a key priority of state policy since the establishment of the ministry in 1994.
