BSU Hosts Information Session on Dual Degree Master’s Program in Biotechnology with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
An information session was held at Baku State University (BSU) to introduce the joint dual degree master’s program in Biotechnology, developed in partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI), Israel.
The session was led by Shabnam Safarova, Advisor to the Rector of BSU on Digitalization and Information Technologies, and Rauf Hasanov, Head of the International Relations Department. During the event, it was noted that the program is being implemented under an agreement signed in May 2023 and is fully funded by the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The program is open to candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biology Teaching, Chemistry, Chemistry Teaching, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Physics Teaching, or Ecology; have a minimum GPA of 80; demonstrate foreign language proficiency at a level of at least IELTS 6.0 (or TOEFL iBT 89+); and have been admitted to a master’s program at a higher education institution in Azerbaijan in 2025.
Participants received detailed information about the objectives and benefits of the program, application procedures, academic life at HUJI, international learning experiences, and the career prospects available to graduates.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment, during which students and their parents received comprehensive answers to a wide range of questions.
