An Information Session titled “HIV – A Hidden Enemy” was held at Baku State University (BSU), organized by the "BSU Volunteers" group in collaboration with the Republican Center for the Fight Against AIDS under the Ministry of Health.

During the event, students received detailed information about HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), including modes of transmission and effective prevention strategies. Experts highlighted that thousands of people face the risk of HIV and hepatitis infection daily.

Representatives from the center stressed the importance of ongoing educational efforts, emphasizing the need to promote national and moral values to help protect youth from such social threats. They also informed participants about the symptoms of HIV and outlined current treatment approaches.

As part of the awareness initiative, students were offered voluntary HIV/AIDS screening, with blood samples taken for preliminary testing to support early diagnosis and intervention.
