Speaking at the event, Ramin Samadov, Head of BSU’s Department of Humanitarian and Youth Policy, emphasised the importance of strengthening students’ practical knowledge and skills in the social sector and providing them with opportunities to gain hands-on experience working with vulnerable groups.
Uzeyir Shafiev, Head of the University’s Department of Social Work, highlighted the contribution of initiatives of this kind to the professional development of Social Work students and their preparation for careers in social services.
During the session, representatives of the Social Services Agency provided students with detailed information about the project’s objectives, eligibility requirements and the benefits of the internship programme. They noted that the programme would enable young people to gain practical experience in various areas, familiarise themselves with the social services sector and work directly with vulnerable groups.
Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive an official certificate issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
