The international conference “Social work in the post-war period”, jointly organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of Baku State University (BSU) and the Public Association “Azerbaijan Social Work” was held at BSU on November 16, 2021.

The conference was moderated by Vice-Rector on Social Affairs, Student Affairs and Public Relations. Alish Aghamirzayev. He spoke about the victory gained by brave Azerbaiajani army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Iham Aliyev. The Vice-Rector touched upon Azerbaijan's post-war successful efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.

The event was attended by  Deputy minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for Labour and Social Policy Musa Guliyev, Director of ANAS Institute of Economics Nazim Muzaffarli, Head of the YAŞAT Foundation Elvin Huseynov, Head of Return to Karabakh Organization, MP Tural Ganjaliyev, Director of the Fund for Social Development of Internally Displaced Persons, MP Mahir Abbaszade, a member of the Board of the Turkish Association of Social Workers Ahmet Cemil Olcher, Head of the Department of BSU Uzeir Shafiev, a member of the Board of the Public Association of Social Work of Azerbaijan Aytekin Huseynli and other officials.
