BSU Hosts Meeting on Sustainable Development Goals and Urbanization
As part of “Urban Planning and Architecture Week,” a meeting on “Sustainable Development Goals and Urbanization” was held with Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the Rector of Baku State University (BSU).
During the meeting, Asiman Ilyasov discussed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which focus on improving human well-being, ensuring social equality, and protecting the environment. He highlighted key priorities such as quality education, gender equality, climate action, efficient use of natural resources, and the development of sustainable cities.
He also emphasized the important role of universities in raising awareness of global challenges, encouraging student participation in sustainability initiatives, and generating innovative ideas. According to Ilyasov, BSU actively supports sustainable development through seminars, projects, and student initiatives focused on environmental and social responsibility.
The meeting concluded with a discussion and answers to questions from volunteers.
