Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture.

During the meeting, Rector Babayev highlighted BSU’s research initiatives in aquaculture, food and water safety, environmental sustainability, and the efficient use of natural resources. He emphasized the university’s commitment to establishing modern laboratories and training young specialists, noting that BSU’s research centers employ the latest technologies. Given these priorities, he expressed the university’s keen interest in collaborating with the Agrarian Innovation Center.

Anar Jafarov provided an overview of the Center’s activities, ongoing projects, regional innovation festivals, and support initiatives. He also expressed great interest in student-led startups that contribute to the digitalization and enhanced productivity of the agricultural sector.

The discussion explored various opportunities for collaboration, including a potential project on the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture.
