BSU Hosts Meeting with Milli Majlis Deputy Elnara Akimova
Baku State University (BSU) recently hosted a meeting between students and Elnara Akimova, a member of the Milli Majlis and a distinguished alumna of the university.
Opening the event, Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Issues and Youth Policy at BSU, emphasized the value of such meetings in the development of student youth. He noted that the success stories of prominent individuals can serve as powerful motivation and guidance for students in shaping their future careers and life choices.
During the meeting, Deputy Elnara Akimova delivered a presentation on "Literary Criticism and Children's Literature." She highlighted the significance of fostering a reading culture among children and elaborated on the current state of Azerbaijan’s children's literature and national policy in this area. She stated: "Children’s literature is a vital part of our literary heritage and a unique field of artistic expression. Its distinctiveness must be preserved. Promoting literature in this spirit should be among the key priorities for the children of a victorious nation."
The session concluded with a lively Q&A, during which the deputy responded to students’ questions and engaged in discussions on the topic.
