BSU Hosts President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation
A meeting was held at Baku State University between BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
During the meeting, the rector informed the guest about BSU’s cooperation with Turkic-speaking countries in the fields of science, education, and culture, emphasizing the university’s interest in further expanding these ties. It was noted that BSU has departments of Turkology and Turkic Philology. The university has also established a Center for Cultural Heritage Studies aimed at researching, preserving, and promoting Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, including historical monuments and rare architectural examples.
Elchin Babayev highlighted the university’s strong scientific and academic potential, which enables large-scale research in this field. He emphasized the importance of cooperation in studying, protecting, and passing on to future generations the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world. The rector also noted the broad potential for implementing joint projects, conducting research, publishing academic works, and organizing joint conferences.
Aktoty Raimkulova stressed the importance of implementing joint scientific initiatives and projects aimed at preserving the shared cultural values of Turkic peoples. She expressed interest in further expanding cooperation with BSU and launching new joint initiatives.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Aktoty Raimkulova presented several publications from the foundation to the BSU Scientific Library.
