Baku State University's Faculty of History has hosted a Republican scientific conference entitled "Heydar Aliyev's Peak in the History of Azerbaijani Statehood". The Conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev.

During the conference, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ibrahim Zeynalov, provided detailed information about the pivotal role played by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of our independent state, in Azerbaijan's modern history. He discussed the reforms implemented for state-building and the undertaking of large-scale projects. The speaker emphasized that throughout his social and political activities, Heydar Aliyev worked tirelessly for the development of Azerbaijan and the well-being of its people.

In the plenary session of the conference, reports were presented by Sadig Gurbanov, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee, and Asmed Mukhtarova, the Head of the Department of History of Turkic Peoples at BSU. Additional speeches were delivered by Gabil Aliyev, Professor at the Department of History of the Caucasus, Azad Rzayev, Associate Professor at the Department of History of Azerbaijan (for humanitarian faculties), and Alamdar Shahverdiyev, Associate Professor at the Department.

Following the plenary session, the conference continued its work in breakout sessions, where reports were presented by faculty members of Baku State University, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, the Institute of History of ANAS named after A.A. Bakikhanov, Sumgait State Technical College at Sumgait State University, as well as students from SABAH BSU groups.
