A round table on the topic "Training in the field of law and judicial activity", organized by the Law Faculty was held at Baku State University (BSU) on November 24, 2021.

The event was moderated by Professor Amir Aliyev.

Speaking at the event, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev spoke about the reforms, which had been carried out in Azerbaijan after the restoration of independence under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev. “Justice Workers' Day is annually celebrated in Azerbaijan on November 22. This professional day was officially established by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2006, at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, a number of important documents were adopted concerning the activities of the judicial system”, said Elchin Babayev.

Deputy of the Milli Mejlis Bahruz Maharramov, Head of the Department of Istanbul University Professor Fethi Gedikli, Chairman of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov, Chairman of the Public Association of the General Court Judges of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Court Judges Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aladdin Jafarov, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law of BSU Jabir Guliyev, Head of the Legal Clinic Turgai Huseynov, Member of the Central Election Commission, Associate Professor of the Department of Forensic Science and Forensic Science Bakhsheish Askerov, Head of the UNESCO Chair for Human Rights and Information Law Amir Aliyev made presentation at the event.

“Justice of Azerbaijan on the path of sustainable development” training manual was also presented during the round table.
