The Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University has hosted a scientific seminar on creation of Muhammad Iqbal.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Iranian Philology Aygun Aslan made presentation entitled "Muhammad Iqbal's Place in Urdu Literature". Muhammad Iqbal is famous for his poetry in Urdu and Persian. He is also given much credit for his works on political and religious philosophy in Islam. His works are very popular in Afghanistan, Turkey, the Middle East and Europe.
