BSU Hosts Seminar on "Classification of Electronic Bibliographic Resources"
The Faculty of Information and Document Management at Baku State University (BSU) recently hosted a scientific seminar titled "Classification of Electronic Bibliographic Resources."
Namiya Khalilova, a lecturer in BSU’s Department of Document Management, delivered a detailed report at the seminar.
In her presentation, Khalilova highlighted the significance and future potential of electronic bibliographic resources as a transformative aspect of bibliographic activity. She reviewed studies conducted by both local and international experts in this field and provided insights into global scientometric platforms, including Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus.
The report also covered various types of electronic bibliographic resources, emphasizing the processes involved in creating and disseminating these resources in Azerbaijani libraries. Detailed analyses were presented on the bibliographic resources of key institutions, such as the National Library of Azerbaijan, the Presidential Library under the Presidential Affairs Department of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republican Children's Library named after Firudin Bey Kocharli, and the Republican Youth Library named after Jafar Jabbarli.
