Baku State University has hosted a training seminar on "Providing access to electronic information resources." The event, organized by the University's Scientific Library, was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Library and Information Consortium (Az.KIK).

The event was attended by Director of the Center for Organization of Scientific Activities and Innovations of BSU Mais Suleimanov and Director of the Scientific Library Nigar Ismayilova.

The Head of Az.KİK, National Coordinator of the International Organization EIFL.net, representative of the EBSCO publishing house in Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of the Scientific Library of BSU Jamila Yusifova made the presentation entitled "Az.KİK: creation, activities and development prospects".

Andrey Sokolov, Director of EBSCOhost for the CIS countries made speech on "EBSCO Resources within the framework of a centralized subscription". He also conducted an interactive training on searching in electronic databases signed by Az.KIK.

Mine Tonta, Sales Manager for Turkey and Central Asia at Emerald Publishing House, made a presentation on Development Achievements at Emerald Publishing House and Library Consortiums.
