At the initiative of the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), August 2025 has been declared “Arabic Language Month” in Azerbaijan. This initiative aims to promote the study and teaching of the Arabic language, as well as to strengthen international cooperation.

Within this framework, special training sessions for teachers and students have been launched at Baku State University (BSU). Around 50 teachers and 110 students have registered for the program, reflecting the growing interest in Arabic in Azerbaijan and the demand for professional training in this field.

The program covers topics such as fundamental concepts and components of the language, the role of testing, communicative skills and their types, as well as the use of modern technologies in language teaching. The four-day sessions are designed to deepen participants’ theoretical knowledge, enrich their methodological approaches, and enhance their practical skills.

The training is conducted by Professor Saleh Nasser Al-Shuwairkh from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and Associate Professor Maher Dakheel Allah Al-Saedi from the Islamic University of Madinah. Their involvement not only increases the academic and methodological value of the program but also provides participants with access to contemporary educational practices.

The “Arabic Language Month” initiative is aimed at improving the quality of Arabic language teaching at BSU, while also boosting young people’s interest in this field in Azerbaijan. The outcomes of the project will make a significant contribution to the training of professional specialists in Arabic, the expansion of scientific and cultural cooperation, and the strengthening of ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
