BSU Hosts Training titled "Integration of Sustainable Development Goals into the Educational and Research Process"
Baku State University (BSU) has taken another significant step in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the realm of higher education.
A training session titled "Integration of Sustainable Development Goals into the Educational and Research Process" was organized by the University's Quality Assurance Center, under the guidance of the Rector’s Advisor on Quality Assurance, Asiman Ilyasov.
The event brought together deputy deans and other relevant university officials. Its primary objective was to promote the broader implementation of the 17 SDGs within the higher education system and to ensure their effective integration into BSU’s academic and research activities.
Participants were introduced to the significance of the SDGs in higher education, strategies for aligning research and teaching with these goals, and international best practices in SDG-based approaches. The training also included discussions on aligning the university’s strategic development priorities with the SDGs and embedding sustainable development principles into institutional planning and practice.
