The Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU) has hosted a Workshop on Fungal diseases.

Associate Professor of the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology Lala Mehdiyeva made presentation entitled "Fungi and Fungal diseases caused by them in living organisms". She spoke about diseases caused by fungi in humans, animals, birds, plants and insects. The workshop participants were also informed in detail about diseases caused by fungi in cereals, forest trees, fruits and vegetables.
