BSU Hosts Workshop Titled “Breaking Bad Habits Together!”
Baku State University (BSU) hosted an educational workshop titled “Breaking Bad Habits Together!” organized by the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of the Faculty of Biology.
Gunay Allahverdizade, a therapist at City Polyclinic No. 30, located on the BSU campus, delivered an informative presentation on the harmful effects of nicotine, alcohol, and drugs, especially on the developing human body at a young age.
Nigar Huseynova, Chairperson of the SYO at the faculty, presented a report on the changes smoking causes in the human body, discussing its impact at the cellular, tissue, and organ levels. She also outlined how smoking contributes to respiratory, cardiovascular, and oncological diseases.
The workshop further explored the psychological, social, and physiological consequences of bad habits, emphasizing the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles and raising awareness among young people about the risks of substance abuse.
