The results of 690 higher education institutions from 42 European countries according to the QS EUROPE ranking, compiled by the QS Quacquarelli Symonds organization, have been announced.

Baku State University (BSU) secured the 90th position in Europe and claimed the top spot in Azerbaijan in terms of the student-to-faculty ratio. In the category of international research network, BSU ranked first among higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. Additionally, BSU earned the second position in the country for academic reputation and the ratio of research articles to the professorial staff.

According to another ranking, QS WESTERN ASIA, also compiled by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, BSU secured the 19th position.
