BSU, Kunaev University Sign Memorandum of Understanding
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Baku State University (BSU) and Kunaev University of Kazakhstan has been signed.
The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Kunayev University Rector Zhazira Omuraly.
Highlighting BSU's status as one of the leading higher education institutions in the region, Rector Elchin Babayev shared detailed information about the university's history, international relations, and achievements in teaching and research. He underscored the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries in education and science. Babayev also emphasized the high level of collaboration between BSU and universities in fraternal Kazakhstan, noting that BSU is currently implementing a dual degree program with three Kazakh universities. He expressed confidence that the signed memorandum would foster the development of both institutions.
Kunaev University Rector Zhazira Omuraly highlighted the significant potential for joint projects with BSU, stating that they are particularly interested in collaboration in areas such as law, international relations, and cybersecurity.
The memorandum outlines joint initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning practices to align with international standards. It also includes plans for organizing collaborative projects and events in science, education, and culture; conducting joint research; promoting academic, scientific, and cultural mobility; and facilitating exchanges of students, researchers, and administrative staff.
