Baku State University (BSU) has introduced the Development Program named after Academician Azad Mirzajanzade, an initiative implemented by the Public Association "Regional Development" to foster innovation and intellectual growth among young people.

During the program's presentation, Rashid Gurbanli, Deputy Chairman of the BSU Volunteers organization, emphasized that advancing youth in science and education remains a key priority for the state. He highlighted the role of projects like this in enhancing the intellectual potential of the next generation.

Leyla Seyidzade, head of the Development Program, explained that the initiative seeks to identify and support talented young individuals with innovative, forward-thinking approaches. The program is designed for those who can assess new opportunities, develop creative solutions to contemporary challenges, and contribute to a sustainable future.

Launched in September 2023, the program has successfully implemented numerous projects across social, environmental, educational, and technological fields.

Under the initiative, submitted ideas will be evaluated based on relevance, feasibility, innovation, and pioneering potential. Authors of selected ideas will advance to the second stage, where they will receive mentorship, project development support, and leadership training. Ultimately, the best projects will receive funding for implementation.

The deadline for applications is April 1, 2025.
