BSU Law Students Deliver Legal Awareness Training at Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum
Students from the Faculty of Law at Baku State University (BSU) conducted a training session at the Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum as part of the “From Student to School” project.
During the event, the students presented a brochure titled “In Light of the Basic Law – the Constitution,” prepared within the framework of the project.
BSU law students Vagif Khalil, Hokume Melikli, and Tofig Ibadzade acted as trainers, engaging schoolchildren in discussions on law, the Constitution, rights, and responsibilities. Vagif Khalil spoke about the essence of law, branches and powers of government, the judicial system, and the legislative process. Tofig Ibadzade addressed issues related to the criminal liability of minors, explaining relevant provisions of the Criminal Code, types of penalties, and educational measures. Hokume Melikli delivered a presentation on domestic violence, covering its forms, subjects, investigation mechanisms, legal consequences, and prevention methods.
At the conclusion of the training, certificates were awarded to participants who demonstrated active involvement in the discussions.
