During COP29 in Baku, the British organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) officially announced the results of the World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025.

Baku State University (BSU) emerged as the top-ranking university in Azerbaijan, achieving a significant milestone. Climbing more than 345 places from last year, BSU secured a position in the 941–950 range, becoming the only Azerbaijani university to break into the global Top 1000.

This ranking highlights universities worldwide that excel in promoting sustainable development, reinforcing BSU's growing commitment to addressing global sustainability challenges.
