This year marks the 880th birth anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Azerbaijan announced contest dedicated to the prominent poet.
According to the results of the competition, Shahin Yusifli, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University (BSU) won the best scientific paper contest. He submitted his article entitled “Poetic lines, literary and artistic contacts between Nizami Ganjavi and Friedrich Schiller”.
