Baku State University (BSU), 'LU-MUN Holding,' and Istanbul University have initiated a joint scientific project titled 'Comparative Study of the Impact of Abiotic Factors in the Water of the Kura River and the Caspian Sea on the Well-being of Sturgeon Raised in Aquaculture Conditions.

The main goal of the research project is to determine in which environment the growth and nutritional value of sturgeon fish are higher. The project compares two habitats – the Caspian Sea, which is their natural habitat, and the Kura River.
