According to the data from the International information agency Clarivate Analytics, the H-index of Baku State University (BSU) has reached 57. The average number of citations per scholarly work is 7.03. Faculty members and students have published 4109 research articles in the Web of Science database, which have been cited approximately 29,000 times.

During the first eight months of 2023, BSU employees published 129 articles in journals included in the Web of Science database. Among these, 23 were published in Q1 quartile journals, 42 in Q2 quartile, 32 in Q3 quartile, and 32 in Q4 quartile. These scientific works have received over 3500 citations. 37 percent of the articles contain results of multidisciplinary research conducted in various fields of science.
