Baku State University, Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University held online conference on the topic “Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan - the strategic nature of bilateral partnership” to mark 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. The conference was organized with support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan.

The conference was attended by the rector of BSU Elchin Babayev, rector of the Turkmen State University Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Mekan Ishanguliyev, Counselor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan Mikail Yusifov, teachers and students of both universities.

Issues of interstate cooperation, priority areas for further development of productive partnership between the two countries were discussed during the conference. Particular attention was paid to the to the issues of expanding scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as inter-university cooperation.
