The Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University has hosted a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Urdu Department.

Mais Suleymanov, Director of the Center for Organization of Scientific Activities and Innovations of BSU congratulated the faculty members and students on the 20th anniversary of the Urdu Department. He also noted that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have developed significantly in the field of science and education.

Aidan Khandan, Dean of the Faculty wished success to the staff of the department, congratulated orientalists and students on their anniversary.

Nigar Ismailzade, Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Oriental Studies made presentation on history and activity of the Department.

Faculty members Eldost Ibragimov, Amalia Pashayeva, Aygun Aslan and Shahin Yusifli made report at the event.
