An online round table dedicated to the 52nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s coming to power was held at Baku State University (BSU).
Speaking at the event BSU Rector Elchin Babayev noted that Heydar Aliyev was elected First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijanat the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan held on July 14, 1969 and lead Azerbaijan USSR until 1982. He also stressed that during the period of Heydar Aliyev's leadership (1969-1982), great achievements in the socio-economic sphere had been achieved in Azerbaijan.
Kamila Aliyeva, the deputy of the Milli Mejlis, Head of the Department; Ibrahim Zeynalov, Professor at the Faculty of History; Professor Irada Huseynova, Head of the Department; Bakhtiyar Nabiyev; Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History; PhD student Laman Asadzadeh made reports at the event.
