BSU Marks Day of Restoration of Independence
The Faculty of History at Baku State University (BSU) held an event titled “Our Eternal and Unshakable Independence,” dedicated to October 18 – Independence Restoration Day.
Opening the event, Dean of the Faculty of History Ibrahim Zeynalov emphasized that preserving independence is more challenging than achieving it. He noted that in the early 1990s, Azerbaijan once again faced the threat of losing its independence. The return of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev to political power in 1993 ensured that Azerbaijan’s independence became eternal and irreversible. “In fact, our country attained its true independence after the return of the National Leader. The eternity and irreversibility of Azerbaijan’s independence are inseparably linked with his name,” the dean concluded.
The program continued with a video presentation dedicated to Independence Restoration Day, followed by an artistic performance prepared by students.
