BSU marks World Book and Copyright Day
Baku State University (BSU) has hosted a scientific seminar dedicated to April 23 - World Book and Copyright Day, jointly organized by the Faculty of Library and Information, the Faculty of Law, and BSU Scientific Library.
The event was moderated by Mais Suleymanov, Director of the Center for Organization of Scientific Activity and Innovation. He said that the World Book and Copyright Day is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing and copyright. The first World Book Day was celebrated on 23 April in 1995, and continues to be recognized on that day.
Lecturer of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Philosophy in Law Azer Safarov, Head of the Department of Bibliology and Publishing Knyaz Aslan, Director of the Scientific Library Nigar Ismayilova made presentations at the scientific seminar.
The event was also attended by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law Rahim Mammadov and Head of the Library Science Department Elchin Ahmedov.
