Edgar Shahbazov, a Master’s student at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU) and a participant in the double degree program, has been accepted into the PhD program in Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Manchester.

His research project, titled “A New Role for the Anti-Aging Factor RBBP5 in Maintaining Mitochondrial Balance,” will be carried out under the supervision of University of Manchester scientists Dr. Gino Poulin and Dr. Alan Whitmarsh.
