BSU Master’s Students Complete Training at Research Institute of Agriculture

Master’s students from the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU), under the guidance of Associate Professor Roza Mamedova, participated in a scientific and practical training session at the Laboratory of Modern Breeding and Molecular Biology of the Research Institute of Agriculture.

The training was conducted by Khalima Mamedova, Head of the Laboratory, and Elchin Hajiyev, Head of the Immunogenetics Department at the Institute of Genetic Resources. Participants received detailed instruction on the methodological foundations of molecular genetic analysis, laboratory safety protocols, and the application of molecular marker systems in breeding and genetic diversity assessment.

The training aimed to strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge in plant genomics and molecular genetics through hands-on practice, enhance their research skills, and improve their competence in working with modern laboratory technologies.
