BSU, Mirzo Ulugbek Astronomical Institute ink MoU
Baku State University (BSU) and Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute (UBAI) of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation.
The document was inked by Rector of BSU Elchin Babayev and Director of Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute Shuhrat Ehgamberdiev.
Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that partnering with the Astronomical Institute of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences will provide a unique opportunity for sharing expertise in astronomy, facilitating knowledge exchange, fostering international cooperation, and advancing space exploration.
Director Shuhrat Ehgamberdiev said that the collaboration with BSU will invigorate research endeavors in astronomy and space sciences, adding “astronomy holds a special significance for us, embodying the spirit of our peoples through figures like Nasireddin Tusi and Mirzo Ulugbek.”
Under the agreement, Baku State University and Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute will jointly conduct scientific research in astronomy and space sciences. The accord also includes provisions for enhancing scientific mobility between the two institutions, facilitating the exchange of master's and doctoral students, researchers, as well as academic and administrative staff.
