BSU Opens New Specialty in 2024/2025 Academic Year
To prepare specialists in the field of food engineering, a new specialization, "Food Product Expertise and Marketing," will be introduced at the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU) starting from the 2024/2025 academic year. The curriculum for this specialization will include subjects such as "Food Quality and Safety," "Expertise in Biological Raw Materials and Food Products," "Modern Problems in Food Product Analysis," and others.
Graduate students will gain comprehensive knowledge in food product expertise, employing physical, physico-chemical, and microbiological methods of analysis, as well as chemical and organoleptic research methods for product analysis. They will be familiarized with the methods used in food product analysis, their practical applications, food safety programs, and the regulatory framework for environmental safety. The program will also cover the study of sources of microbial contamination of products and sanitary-epidemiological control in food production.
