The innovative project “Irrigo – A Sustainable Agricultural Ecosystem” developed by the “BDU TETYM” team from Baku State University (BSU) has reached the finals of the 2025 TEKNOFEST TRNC Research Projects competition.

The next TEKNOFEST, one of the largest technology and innovation festivals in the region, will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from May 1 to 4, 2025.

“Irrigo” is a smart irrigation system designed to purify, recycle, and prepare wastewater for agricultural use. The system incorporates cutting-edge technologies based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and "Smart Village" concepts, offering practical and sustainable solutions for farmers and entrepreneurs.

The BSU student team is actively developing a functional prototype, along with a dedicated website and mobile application to support the project.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for BSU and highlights the university’s growing involvement in international innovation platforms.
