BSU Ranks in QS Subject Rankings for the First Time in Two Disciplines
Baku State University (BSU) has achieved a significant milestone in the QS World University Subject Rankings 2025, compiled by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rating agency. For the first time, BSU has been ranked in two subject categories: 151–175 in Oil and Gas Engineering and 501–600 in Mathematics.
The QS World University Subject Rankings evaluate institutions based on five key indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, citation impact, h-index, and international collaboration index. Universities are assessed across five broad subject areas and 55 specialized categories.
BSU’s inclusion in these rankings highlights its scientific potential, global academic recognition, and commitment to excellence. This achievement reinforces the university’s development strategy, alignment with international standards, and growing research impact.
