During his visit to Samarkand, Elchin Babayev, the Rector of Baku State University (BSU), met with Professor Rustam Khalmuradov, who serves as both the Rector of Samarkand State University and a member of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Elchin Babayev stated that scientific and educational institutions play a special role in furthering the relations between countries and bringing people closer together. Elchin Babayev noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are on an upward trajectory, and BSU's cooperation with Uzbekistani universities contributes to the development of these relations.

Rector Rustam Khalmuradov of Samarkand State University expressed confidence that joint projects in the field of science and education will benefit the development of both universities.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the further cooperation in the field of education and science between the two universities.
