Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babaev made speech at the International Scientific Conference "Ali Kushchu - an Outstanding Ambassador of Ulugh Beg's Scientific School," organized by Sharaf Rashidov Samarkand State University (Uzbekistan). The conference was dedicated to the 620th anniversary of the birth of the Uzbek astronomer Ali Kushchu and the 80th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The conference featured over 30 scientists and specialists from the United States, Azerbaijan, Turkey, China, Russia, India, and South Korea.

Rector BSU also participated in the symposium "Quantum Nano-Biotechnologies," dedicated to the opening of the Samarkand Quantum Center at the Institute of Engineering Physics of Samarkand State University. Within the conference, Elchin Babaev held discussions with the delegation from the Northwest Normal University of China, the Director of the Mirzo Ulugh Beg Institute of Astronomy Academician Shuhrat Egamberdiev.
