Presentation of the Curriculum on Gender Equality in the Civil Service, jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the State Examination Center, the German Society for International Cooperation and Baku State University (BSU) was held on November 24, 2021.

The event was dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On State Guarantees of Equal Rights for Women and Men.

The presentation was attended by Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs; Zubeyda Oyan, Representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Baku for Economy, Culture and Press; Maleyka Abbaszade, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center; Karin Khoerhan, Head of the Baku office of German Society for International Cooperation; Sahib Mammadov. Head of the Executive Committee of the Citizens' Labor Rights Protection League.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev made speech at the presentation. He emphasized the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev to enhance the role of women in the country. “Women play an exceptional role in the formation of society and the system of national and spiritual values. The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs also contributes to State Policy on Women successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev”, said Elchin Babayev.

Elchin Babaev noted that in 2000 the Center for Gender Studies, and  in 2002 the Department of Gender and Applied Psychology were established at BSU.

Nigar Safarova, Lecturer at the Department of Gender and Applied Psychology, co-author of the Curriculum made presentation on "Using of the curriculum in the education system".
