BSU Rector Meets with Representatives of Ankara University of Social Sciences
Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with the Head of the Social Village of Ankara University of Social Sciences (AUSS), Erdal Akdeve, and staff member Cetin Onder, who conducted a seminar at BSU on the implementation of the Social Village system in universities.
The Rector informed the guests that he had high hopes for the memorandum signed between BSU and AUSS and the Erasmus+ K171 program. Under the memorandum, BSU and AUSS will carry out joint social research projects. The BSU delegation visited the Social Village at AUSS and familiarized themselves with its experience. Elchin Babayev highly praised the seminar conducted by AUSS staff and expressed confidence that the implementation of a similar system at BSU would greatly benefit the university's development.
The Rector noted that the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at BSU is considered the main training base for specialists in this field in the country. It was stated that most BSU students from Türkiye prefer the "Psychology" specialty.
The guests noted that AUSS is the first state university of social sciences in Türkiye, and that activities in the field of social innovation have a significant impact on the development of universities and society.
The meeting included a discussion on the development of social innovation activities at BSU.
