BSU rector participates in ISWI Steering Committee Annual Meeting

Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev participated in the International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI) Steering Committee Annual Meeting. Elchin Babayev made a presentation on ISWI activities in Azerbaijan. He
outlined the work done by Azerbaijani scientists regarding the space weather.

The International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI) is a program of international cooperation to advance space weather science by a combination of instrument deployment, analysis and interpretation of space weather data from these instruments in conjunction with other data, and the communication of the results to the public.

The ISWI activities are coordinated by United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG), Scientific Committee on Solar Terrestrial Physics (SCOSTEP), International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), Centre for Atmospheric Research, National Space Research & Development Agency, European Space Agency (ESA).
